Akira 2016 is an Indian action drama film co-written, produced and directed by AR Murugadoss. It is the remake of Tamil film of 2011 Mouna Guru and features Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role.
The film’s Principal photography commenced in 2015 March and is scheduled for a worldwide release on 2nd September 2016. Sonakshi Sinha while shooting got injured in the action scene for the movie on Wednesday 13 July 2016. The soundtrack composed by Vishal-Shekhar has been released on August 16, 2016.
